A bridge is a means of replacement for a tooth or teeth that are missing. They look and act like your own teeth and can restore natural function and aesthetics.
They are fixed permanently onto the natural teeth either side of the bridge.
We only use high quality materials and some of the best and most advanced dental laboratories in the UK.
The type of bridge and the desired appearance is discussed and costs and options are given at this stage.
The teeth on either side of the gap will be prepared and shaped and impressions will be taken which are then sent to the Laboratory for the bridge to be made. The shade of the bridge is carefully chosen.
At this visit, a temporary restoration is made and fitted in the surgery.
After approximately two weeks, you will come back for the new bridge to be fitted using special dental cement. (It is possible that your dentist may fit the new bridge temporarily to make sure you are happy with the appearance and fit before it is cemented permanently.)
With routine oral hygiene and regular check ups, bridges last for many, many years.
