A crown is an excellent way to either improve the appearance of a tooth or restore its natural function. In our Practice, we use extremely high quality porcelain crowns and choose some of the best laboratories in the UK.
Crowns can give you the smile you have always wanted.
The type of crown and the desired appearance is discussed and costs and options are given at this stage.
The original tooth/teeth will be prepared and shaped and impressions will be taken which are then sent to the Laboratory for the new crowns to be made. The shade of the new crowns is carefully chosen.
Temporary crowns are made and fitted in the surgery at this stage.
After approximately two weeks, you will come back for the new permanent crowns to be fitted using special dental cement. (It is possible that your dentist may fit these new crowns temporarily to make sure you are happy with the appearance and fit before they are cemented permanently.)
With routine oral hygiene and regular check ups, crowns last for many years and the appearance which can be obtained can transform your smile completely.
