The Old Coach HouseToday, how you look is more a matter of choice than genes and it is no different when considering your choice of smile.

We all want healthy teeth and gums, fresh breath and the confidence and comfort to choose whatever we would like to eat. But we also want to smile freely, with poise and the assurance that our smile does what it is meant to do: to present and represent us; to be an attractive and welcoming feature.

Using the latest computer imaging technology we are now able to determine the very best cosmetic solutions, show you the potential results and allow you to choose your ideal smile. You can discuss what you don’t like about your teeth, learn about your options and receive an accurate quote for the treatment involved.

The smile you deserve is only a call away.

Porcelain Crowns, Bridges, Veneers, Inlays and Onlays

Porcelain crowns

Porcelain crowns are used to rebuild and reconstruct unsightly, broken teeth and they encapsulate the whole tooth - we use porcelain because this material gives excellent cosmetic results.

Bridges

Bridges are used to restore the gaps caused by missing teeth and fixes a replacement tooth (or teeth) to the natural teeth on either side of the gap.  Some bridges have crowns at each end; others are fixed to the surface of the teeth next to the gap.

For both crowns and bridges, the shade will be matched to your natural teeth but if you are considering whitening, we suggest that you do this before we make the crown or bridge as the whitening gel only whitens natural teeth, not artificial ones.

Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of tooth-coloured material that is put onto the front of the tooth to cover unsightly marks, stains, fillings which cannot be removed conventionally.  The tooth may have been damaged by decay or an accident, or might be badly discoloured for some reason.   The highly skilled dental technicians we use in the Practice make the veneers out of porcelain, again to give excellent cosmetic results.

Inlays and onlays

You can sometimes have inlays or onlays instead of fillings to repair damaged teeth. These are made outside the mouth in a dental laboratory and then glued to the tooth in the surgery.  They are extremely strong and can be made in tooth-coloured porcelain, gold or a white filling material.
